You should maybe do some reading. No one really argues that Jesus existed. No one argues he was crucified. There are over 500 accounts of people seeing Him alive, after the crucifixion.
He is either a Liar, a Lunatic, or exactly who He says He is. So many other religions- Buddhism, Islam, etc all say Jesus was a "good man" or a "prophet" etc, but a good man doesn't claim to be God.
The message of salvation is admittedly an uncomfortable one. It directly confronts the sin in your life, and in the blink of an eye, you decide if you believe or not. It is much easier and more convenient to go on living a life of excess, pleasure, and self gratification, that to explore the idea that there is a soul, and a life after this one.
