Am I the only one who sees the irony in the right-wing attacking social media censorship and the culture of cancelling all while making statements like "McCarthy was right" and "kill all commies"?
McCarthyism was a horribly brutal time in American history. CPUSA members were not villains nor were they "outsider agitators" or "foreign agents" but individuals who loved the American people and who only wanted peace and cooperation with the USSR and China. They didn't deserve to be repressed, investigated, interrogated, imprisoned, or worse.
