But do you have a comfy game keeper's cottage?

Yep 30 acres with 5 acres of pasture a year ago. im working on fencing fight now will have sheep and 100 chickens in about 30 days.

Lmao you’d have to be a retard to buy at the height of the bubble. Mortgage rates are already back to 4% and the Fed hasn’t even touched anything yet. In March once they actually start raising the rates you can expect a slow price decline for the next 6 months. At the end of summer is when it’ll pick up momentum as mortgage rates will be approaching 6%. It’s not gonna be a crash of 50%, but you can expect 20-30% depending on where you are.

How comfy is your game keeper's cottage though?

>bubble
the bubble is defined by inflation, it's been this way for almost 60 years

I want to build mine

I'm beginning to suspect that none of you have any cottages at all. I'm lucky - I have six.

Based! That’s the dream. I plan on one day getting chicken and sheep also.

enough trees to build one after the collapse collapse

Oh eight, my wife has several cottages too.

>I'm just gonna dig a hole in your yard.
make sure to scratch some dirt over it after & don't get poop on your paws

Chickens are not worth the hassle unless you really love eggs. Be prepared for lots of rape and infertility

Your savings will be destroyed by inflation. Your salary will never match the cost of living increase. Land will be so far out of reach of the average person at that point that you would have to have a million dollars just to buy 10 acres out in the country.

I don't have savings, I have debt.

very nice cottage OP. i will be building pic related as a first building

It would make a sick workshop but I'm not sure it would make an efficient house.

Pic sorta rel.

You should look into earthships or cob and thatch, real cheap and energy efficient in terms of heating and cooling.

Brother can you spare a cottage?
(East of the Mississippi? )

>buying real estate when half the population will be dead within 5 years
I will take the fucking property I want and you can't do SHIT about it
go shovel some snow and have a heart attack

cozy thread

We are considering a 1500sqft south facing ICF house. Self build (I'm a contractor). Finding appropriate land and qualifying for the construction loan instead of a basic mortgage is where we are at.

Indeed. Thermal mass outside the house...big no no.
