The USA was not subverted, it's ends were sown when the constitution was ratified. What you are seeing now is the end result of what was drafted in the constitution all those years ago.
Monarchy is pretty based in theory, but I lean towards more of an elected steward/emperor and a loose theocratic confederation of principalities and duchies and parishes.
