And they wonder why there's a "labor shortage"

No wonder everyone's quitting given the chance!

Maybe it's different in Nevada, but in my state you can't legally waive your right to break / meal periods.

You will work without rest.
And you will be happy.

there's no fucking way that franchise wouldn't get hit with 10 million lawsuits if they tried this

why would anybody wave their rights? twitter.com/DesertOffGrid/status/1489383264791916546

Unions do it.
I worked a place that the union eliminated two 10 minute breaks because it was too costly to the company.

So what's the problem? If you're not hungry skip lunch and get off work 50 min early.

I assume this would be employee requested as in rather than work 8 hours 30 minutes but only get paid for 8 they can work 8 and then leave without staying the extra 30 minutes.

Not saying it's good/fair but someone might not want to take a lunch break anyway and would rather just leave work 30 minutes earlier.

>and get off work 50 min early.
you're still wet behind the ears

WTF.... in Canada you get a break every 2 hours and most places you can choose an hour or a half hour for lunch.

never ordering from Dominos again after that fucking shit

How many pizzas do you make? Im sure there are slow days.

The real question is, what are they doing to get you to sign that?

Explain it to me then. We skip lunch where I work and leave 39 min early for doing so.

No you don't lol I know places that get 1, 10 minute break and 1 half hour lunch in 8 hours

Wtf is the union for then

Lol doesn’t that defeat the purpose of a union?

Seriously. Where is the point at which this document then explains the benefits of waiving this right? Why would you waive your right? You don't get hired?

In Oregon you can if you work in certain, specific environments. I know healthcare situations are one of them. I was working one job a few years ago with some developmentally disabled folks in a grouphome setting and there was a waiver for us to sign about not getting standard breaks exactly like this Domino's form.

Interestingly, one guy did not sign his and made a point of completely checking out from work at a certain time of day. Even when some situation had come up with the health or safety of the IDD folks. Absolute fucking tool of an asshole.

No idea why they'd push this for Domino's though. I mean, c'mon.

Jesus titty fucking christ.
US labour laws are absolutely disgusting.

what province?

Why does the document have to explain any benefit? The purpose of a document is to document and thts it

That's illegal.
