It was about southern states not wanting to be controlled by Northern states that had no idea of how life in the south carried out. Much like a number of states today are rallying agaisnt a federal government thars out of control.
And the north, being run by jews, used the opportunity to shift the burden of slavery that they were the main proponents of onto the shoulders of the "losers" in the south by asserting that the only possible reason southerners could have to not want to be run by the north was because they didn't want to pick their own cotton.
