I don't know. There's more to it than that. The level of controlled opposition in US and the level of control and sophistication in that control obtained by the media (including alt media and (con)servative here, too) is much higher.
Also, the state system where some states are ostensibly "free" like Florida and Texas leads people to be less likely to stand up as they think "oh it's just liberal areas, it will be fine where I live". This type of post exemplifies that.
Also, there's the chilling effects from the Jan 6 event and the media, gov. and popular reaction to that.
