We are obviously importing electricity. The European power grid reaches all the way to Turkey (The one at the black sea). Currently it's winter so I would expect the power consumption to be lower than in summer when the whole Mediterranean area switches on their ACs. I'm expecting blackouts by then at the latest.

There never was a risk. Only accidents or extrem cold could cause it. And I don’t buy all the nonsense about getting less dependent on Russian gas or coal. It just won’t happen, since the lights would simply go out. They will always quietly let it run, if the net frequency/stability is being endangered.

Always only has been profitable due to subsidies and not calculating the trouble with the waste. Cheap energy unless you do have lots of water and sun always has been coal. It’s either coal, gas or oil. Even France always was reliant on Germany for energy, since even in the rather warm (during winter due to it being maritime) climate of France. Since heating with electricity doesn’t really work. Hence the nuclear strategy didn’t work.
