"Ukrainians fear the Chernobyl nuclear disaster site could be used as a short-cut to invade the capital Kyiv by Russian invaders.

Already one of the most dangerous places on earth, the radiation exclusion zone on the Belarus border could now become a battlefield.

Nearly 8,000 extra Ukrainian Border Guards have been sent to the area, parts of which are still highly radioactive, 36 years after the world’s worst nuclear disaster.

Ukraine is bracing for a Russian invasion, possibly from Belarus, using Chernobyl to punch through the defences allowing tanks to race southwards to Kyiv.

The 1,000 square mile near-deserted exclusion zone reaches the border to the north, where up to 80,000 Russian and Belarus troops, including Spetsnaz special forces, are poised, supposedly for military exercises."

Putin is planning to send his army through Chernobyl to catch the Ukrainians by surprise and slip through border defenses.

i fucking wish they did this, imagine the aesthetics that would come out of battles in chernobyl.

Chernobyl will be this century's 1940 Ardennes offensive

Yes. Putin is definitely going to enter via Chernobyl.
All the allied forces should send as many troops as possible to wait for him there.

They need to fortify Chernobyl - bunker down and dig in, prepare to stay there for a long time to ensure Putin doesn't try anything.
I think that is a great idea that we can all support and wouldn't mind spending some tax money to send them there and take care of this huge problem.

True but seeing war footage of the fighting in eastern ukraine already looks pretty stalker like. But yeah, fighting in chernobyl would be pretty based. I think the radioactivity shouldn't be that bad nowadays anymore and russians will probably try to take it very fast.

>Already one of the most dangerous places on earth
kek

digits and a bomb hits old reactor 4 causing uranium to touch underground water and go kaboom sending debris to tel aviv

I mean.... the earth isn't that bad unless you are vacationing in the middle of a natural disaster. Being the most dangerous place on earth that can feasibly host a battle isn't that hard.

Russians would probably try to secure the leak site before someone blows up the lid

>Inb4 they create Chernobyl 2.0 so they could have another reason to force gene therapy

hmmm rolling for ukrainians to just blow up the sarcophagus if the russkies try and invade.

>Hohols blow up the lid
>Western media blames it on Russians
>Good portion of Europe gets irradiated
>Goyim, quick! Get the gene therapy vaccine before you get cancer.

Rollo

Never let a good crisis go to waste.

You are implying its dangerous because of the radioactive fallout. Its not dangerous in the least.

nice.

Tourists go to Pripyat'. I don't see the big deal.

>radiation is le bad!
Bald and bankrupt fucked some babushkas there and he's still alive

Wow, so they were playing the long game all along.
