They did not increase the minority population of Vojvodina. On the contrary, they increased the Serbian population. But they did it by forcibly moving Serbs from Lika, Kosovo and Dalmacija.
In any case commie Yugo was the biggest mistake in the history of Serbian people. Creating new ethnicities, separating Serbs, being communist, you have to try to make it worse than that.

Another things - Serbs from Serbia in Yugo, a fair amount of them, had no knowledge about Serbs from other parts of Yugoslavia. Specially towards the end. They didn't care about them, they didn't know about them. Can't overestimate how important that it, and how large of an impact it had on the Serbian question.
In any case, to me it seems it's going in the right direction currently. I know everything's shit, but geopolitically, I have a feeling like we might actually unite within our lifetime. We'll see. Never forget that we are all one people, no matter where we live.
