Coalitions of independents who agree on one or two particular policy matters exist at all levels of government and across the world. The attacks on the Voices Of movement as not being "true" independents because they use similar branding and agree that climate change is bad is Get Up 2019 levels of conspiracy

don't be naive. The obvious intention of the "independents" is to challenge Liberal ministers in seats where Labor have no chance in hell of being competitive.

These independents generally do try to present themselves as Liberal-lite so that they can win the wealthy voters but if it came down to a minority government, you can bet that every single one of these "independents" would give their support to Labor.

As independents, they can't seriously be advocating policy positions alone. It is legislatively impossible for them, they are only there to assist Labor, if you can't see that, you have rocks for brains.

It is very questionable to justify your own existence as an independent if you don't have a unique intention for running.

Name one seat where there is a "climate positive" independent candidate being massively funded and running against incumbent Labor MPs. There is none, because these people want Labor elected, once that is done, they will sit quietly on the backbench and enjoy the welfare.
