Nope. All the liberals I know hated him for being too far right, all the cons I know hated him for being too far left. The idea of him being either is laughable. I can't even say he's in the middle, because he's not. He's a man with no convictions just going which ever way the wind blows, with that wind being whatever he thinks will get him votes without being too offensive to the other side.
Pierre is probably the best choice for the cons right now since they kicked out anyone who would have actually been a good conservative leader. Pierre is better than O'Toole but he still has the unfortunate habit of having no convictions and not speaking up until politically positive to do so (he wasn't against mandates and said nothing about them all last year).
Of course, the best choice for a leader for Canada right now is Max Bernier.
