-insinuating his debate opponent or the group he was arguing against was fascist (it was good to invade Iraq, because Saddam was a fascist, all of Christianity is complicit in fascism because of the position of the Catholic Church in WW2, "islamo-fascism", etc)
-no true scotsman for "enlightened atheism", while blaming every failure in history on religion no matter how tenuous or absurd the connection. ("show me one society that followed the teachings of Einstein and Jefferson and equality/diversity and THEN I will admit that atheism isn't perfect. Also, the Soviet Union was completely the fault of religion because the Russian people used to treat the Czar like a God and therefore the cult of personality around Stalin was religious in nature)
