I think trudy just fucked up. He should be working to end this as quickly as possible for his own sake. Right now it's all just fun and memes and the people don't really know the impact of their actions. Their ignorance is something trudeau could take advantage of in his negotiations, even if just by lying. But if things continue and stuff starts to really go downhill then there's no denying the impact of the convoy. At that point the demands will start to grow out of confidence and spite. And he's only creating future problems. If people learn that road barricades like this are a major threat to the power structure then you've just given them a huge bat to hit you with. Any future government actions will now be under threat of serious systemic attack. As it stands, the people still don't know if this works or not. Better hope they never do.
