Big this. Most if not all jobs for humans will have to be in the service industry by default. For when you want that real human experience. Otherwise, it's just to sensible to have everything else be automated or maintained by something like (nonsentient/nonsapient) bots or droids.
Frankly, I think a lot of people will just lavish for a good long time, following just after post-scarcity. There will be lots who still don't get it, still intent on finally opening that weird MLM, or whatever other scheme. It won't work, and they'll feel devoid of purpose.
That will be a bit of a tumultuous time, while people as a whole adjust. Eventually, I believe that people will have the agency to affect other (likely extraterrestrial) civilizations. As in, Starfleet style stuff. Intervene under no circumstances. It's all really cruxed on how the power structure outside of our own seemingly tiny (in comparison) system really works.
