I'm pretty sure GBA games were $30 on release. $60 was only for console and has been the standard since the 90s if not before that. I'm surprised they haven't increased prices to be honest.

I agree as well. Everyone is always saying “oh we need the 1080p HD 4K graphics omg it’s sooo realistic” and in every game now it’s made to look at high quality as possible but to me just some regular graphics that aren’t too fuzzy but aren’t too realistic is best for me

I fired up this bad boy the other day and it's incredible how well it holds up.
Yeah the graphics are impressively outdated and janky, but that just gives it a unique character.

Better times for most people who are really into the retro gaming hobby, usually a mid-30's white male who grew up playing these video games, really meant "way less niggers and mexicans in my neighborhood". They played the games with their white friends in their white neighborhoods. Maybe the occasional black kid or Asian kid was in their friend group, but there was a sense of belonging and understanding in the friend group because they were all the same race with the same shared culture. The nightly news wasn't constantly covering stories that painted whites in a bad light. They're adults now, with adult jobs and adult responsibilities. They probably have a programming job or other computer-centric career. This means they are exposed to Indians and asians constantly. They see a youtube video in their recommended list for a retro game they grew up playing and yearn for that nostalgia. They consume and get a small dopamine hit. But they don't realize what they really miss about those better times.

I like to pick up and play sometimes. I couldn't give a fuck about gay stories all new games want to tell.
