Circle the Wagons Project

Welcome to the Circle the Wagons Project Frens!
Where we combined Any Forums/diy//out//an/ & Any Forums into one thread
that is on topic & relates to our current political & cultural reality

by working toward the goal of forming wholesome communities irl
living off the land & with nature, made up of based & repilled pollacks
against globohomo, degeneracy & demographic decline

With a focus on saving the doomers, freeing the wage slaves
and saying FUCK OFF to the rent seekers

"Together we are stronger" is the motto we believe
By bringing like minded people together we can change
our lives; for ourselves, each other and our people
and from that change; we can change our political and cultural reality.

By homeschooling our children as a community we can teach them the truth
instead of the lies and indoctrination taught in public schools

By helping each other build our own homes, inexpensively using our own labor
and alternative methods like sandbags and rammed earth
we can avoid massive loans from the banks and their usury and debt slavery

By living on our own land we can spend more time among nature
and eat healthier by growing our own food and improve our quality of life
and also live in a safe environment for our families and avoid the riots and dangers of city life

These and so many more alternatives to the globohomo agenda are available for us
when we choose to live together as we used to, as a tribe.

So come on in and join our project and help to manifest this into reality.
There is a better way to live but it is up to us to live it
and in doing so we gain more power while globohomo loses it's power over us.

My well is frozen! The drip didn't work. How are other Florida brothers doing during our day of winter?

you didn't dig deep enough
you got to drive that pipe down so you get some heat from the earth's belly
better to dig in clay soil because clay holds the heat
I got more tips if you need them

Alright lads, where's the best place to find larger plots of land for sale? All the usual online real estate sites just have the same suburban houses - hardly anything with even more than an acre of property.

The Unsettling of America – Wendell Berry
This one is another must-read. It focuses on the decimation of the American ethos and agrarian way of life.
It too was written in the 70s and is even more relevant to today's situation than One Straw Revolution.

>Letter to a young farmer - Gene Logsdon
This book is addressed to young people who want to get back into the world of agriculture/homesteading.
It offers advice and encouragement.
In many ways it is like having an old-timer share some of his wisdom with you before you set out on your journey.

>Farming for the long haul - Michael Foley
Focuses specifically on the uncertain future, with an emphasis on preparing for the hard world ahead.
It discusses the importance of cohesive communities and crucial part that feeding them will play.

>Second Nature - Michael Pollan
Musings on the gardener's mindset. Probably least important, but still good.

PRACTICAL FARMING/SOIL BIOLOGY
These books are more in line with actual regenerative and restorative farming practices.
They delve into soil biology, crop rotation, grazing practices, and offer a ton of sources that you can use in your own research.
Do understand that, while they are very informative,
they are still a condensed primer and allude to other readings throughout their pages.
I highly recommend you use those resources to learn further.

>For the Love of Soil – Nicole Masters
Soil biology with a focus on restoring tired soils. Light on the technical hows, but addressed the whys really well.
Nicole Masters is an authority on soil biology and knows what she is talking about.

>Dirt to Soil – Gabe Brown
Written by a farmer for farmers. Tackles many of the practical questions of raising cattle.
This is a must-read. Gabe Brown is a go-to for cattle management.

>Restoration Agriculture - Mark Shepard
Same as Dirt to Soil, but with a focus on the growing of fruits and vegetables.

Bump for good thread

Teaming with Microbes/Nutrients/Fungi - Jeff Lowenfels, Wayne Lewis
These are 3 books that go deep into the interactions of plants and various soil microbiology.
These ones are perhaps the most sciency of the lot as they actually explain the chemistry and biology of these interactions.
The books are split into two parts; a science lesson and then a more practical guide on how to apply these concepts to your garden/farm.

>A soil owner's manual – Jon Stika
If you were to compare Dirt to Soil and Restoration Agriculture to narrative novels,
then this would be more like a technical manual.
Very focused on the practical side of things and has plenty of resources for you to use later.

bump

do you have these kind of communities in Japan?
are people in your country into becoming part of a homesteading community? or is this type of thing not popular?

Theres a big movement of people buying cheap ass houses in the countryside and getting out of the cities but I dont think its quite a homestead thing.
Japanese society is still homogeneous and polite enough that they dont feel pressured to literally flee and drop out of society completely like is becoming basically a requirement out here.

Rural here. Run a heat lamp to your well house, it can be that simple, as well as leaving all your faucets dripping. I’m sure in Florida you probably aren’t used to having to deal with a hard frost but it’s common practice in the rural areas in the Midwest.

What a terrible fucking image.
Those fences are nowhere near high enough. Rats and rabbits and voles and moles and deer and all sorts will trample those crops.
They're in way too small of bundles to actually provide enough benefit, and the spacing should be wider for pests.
I see no anti-pest flowers like marigolds in there.
Whoever idealized that is a stupid fucking faggot nigger.

Bump. Suburbanite here but you can still be comfy on a small piece of ground. We have a bunch of raised beds and fruit trees. I know of a bunch of other fruit trees in the neighborhood and forage some wild plants. My wife makes marmalade. I make soap, herbal remedies and liqueurs. We compost. Our city subsidizes purchase of compost bins. I’m setting up our squat toilet again after a hiatus, Humanure Handbook is free and has some good info. We have multiple neighbors with chickens.

thought I had a link for that book...

Heard a couple people bring it up in these threads

I've been wondering if there'd ever be a thread like this (dedicated to life improvement based off of shared principles/knowledge).
I'm not sure I have anything to contribute at the moment though.

humanurehandbook.com/downloads/humanure_instruction_manual.pdf

I may be that couple of people. My son and I did this for a couple years, toddlers think it is hilarious. We have two big compost bins which makes it easy to let one sit for a year.
Beekeeping is another small backyard hobby. Would be great in a gift economy.
