well at first it was because there was a real chance that the vaccine would get rid of wild-type covid, since it did (and still does to some extent) prevent transmission despite what uneducated retards say, but now it's pretty much hopeless, and we're all going to have to deal with a rapidly evolving virus that has become 50% more contagious (compared to omicron, one of the most contagious viruses ever) in the past 2 months, and there's no guarantee that it will evolve to become less severe, so have fun with that lol

Either something prevents transmission or it does not. You don't partially prevent transmission. No data genuinely supports that they prevent transmission in any verifiable way. How could a shot developed around one protein of a multiprotein virus mount any kind of sterilizing immune effect? It can't. It literally cannot.
