What causes this, and what were the symptoms you had?

Blood clots! Specially pulmonary embolisms. Basically ypu can't breathe. Well, you can breath as much as you want. Just no blood flow in or out of the lungs.

How to prevent this stuff?

Not smoking is a good start, but thats not always foolproof. Just know the symptoms of clots and get help asap. Otherwise you will die or need a major surgery.

had you been taking oral estrogen or injections?

Its been a few years since my last dose, but ive taken both. And patches.

age? what’s your diet like? will you get to start estrogen again at any point?

I am 26. Last dose was at 22 and I started at 19.
I am kinda fat now. Considering i couldnt really breath for 5 years. Ive lost 15 lbs since the surgery and that was in June.

Also, I cannot start E again as Drs consider me high risk now.

Damn awesome something else to worry myself sick over

The odds of this happening are very low. I am pretty sure genetics played a big factor in why i got them. My older brother and my grandma also have had issues with them

Okay that makes me feel a lot better.

Do you still want to be on e?

Every day I get manlier and manlier. But I try to hold a bright outlook. If not ill probs off myself. But yeah I miss it.

I'm so sorry. I feel for you. I wish I could give you a hug.

yeah that’s rough, sorry to hear but i appreciate the info. would you get an orchie? i’d prefer no sex hormones to masculinizing on testosterone

Maybe one day, but rn im still recovering from this surgery still need to plan my next moves

Just say fuck it and do injections, the method with the least risks.
Also you could take lupron to halt masculinization, no effect on blood clots.

But doctors will do anything to avoid risk, so of course he'd tell you no. You won't get in trouble if your start E again.
Even if the risk exists why not, with th attitude you'll just kill yourself sooner than later?

I thought injections gave you the highest risk for clots? With patches being the lowest. I did have a refferal to see an endo from my new DR. So they might put me back on tblockers. I do think you misunderstood me in my last post. I keep a bright outlook because i would kill myself if not. Im not in danger. Im just happy i can breathe again.

Injections are about the same as patches risk wise. Oral is the highest risk.
I'd just order some E personally. But if not ask your endo for some Lupron or other drug of its class. As other T blockers your going to have to use crazy doses to even get 70-80% blocking/supressed.

But i mean really why not just order some E? Then doing everything in your power to reduce risk. Because you may not get a doctor to ever sign off on that knowing our history, although some may. Really depends.

Ill def see what they are willing to do. Ive been clot free since the surgery and take blood thinners daily. So it might not be an issue anymore. Just have to see. The only point would be to make me feel a bit better as im already a hon. So potenailly dieing isnt a good tradeoff.

I see. Well sometimes it's worth it to stink like a girl.
But honestly i'd lose my mind you position, E does so much for your mood and thinking. That's always worth something imo.
But see what your saying. I hope your appointment goes well al the same!
