Asexuals who don't want to have sex with other people are mostly exercising a preference rather than an "orientation". In my experience, the majority them are of the OCD type that don't want to mainly due to it being gross. The rest just don't want to deal with the emotional baggage that sex causes, and simply don't value the physical pleasure of the act over the negative drawbacks that it has; it's not that they have no desire, it's that they've performed a cost-analysis and determined it unmerited.

But asexuals who don't even masturbate clearly have some kind of issue. It's not necessarily "wrong", nor something that necessarily needs to be "fixed", but it's still clearly some level of brain damage or dysfunction.
