How the fuck do you avoid razor bumps?

Wax
how? even after waxing I get bumps lmao. i have a bunch under my thighs on both sides and I never even shaved. it’s fucking over. best remedy I have had is dumping tend skin in a spray bottle and splashing it all over my legs and exfoliating with a loofah like my life depends on it the next day. but even then I still get it. feels like a scam
i shave in the shower with hot water and use conditioner as leg lubricant
I still get bumps around my genitals, so this isn't foolproof, but I use "Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Body Lotion" all over my legs and the rest of my body after every morning shower. If you have thick, wiry hair, then you're super prone to ingrown hairs after you shave, and you need to keep it moisturized. I also wash with a mild soap. I use the Trader Joe's oat soap bars, but I'm sure there are other good ones. Razor bumps and ingrown hairs have disappeared for me except in my inner thighs.
i exfoliate every 3 days and this
neat but I’m literally gettin them on my inner thighs haha
I exfoliate with a loofah + use lotion daily, i still get horrible razor bumps, but only on the inner parts and backs of my thighs. Last time i shaved around my genitalia i was itching for like a week. Any other suggestions? Please.
Yeah, I'm not sure what to do there. Some people recommend amlactin lotion, but I haven't tried it yet personally. I'm honestly probably just going to get it lasered off next after I finish with my face. Permanent hair removal is likely the only solution.
I will tell you how to solve the root of the problem. That is by getting rid of body hair and never ever having to shave again. Just buy a commercial IPL machine from China for less than $1k (incl. tax & shipping). Then you can effortlessly and cheaply get rid of all your body hair.

well where would you do this?
alibaba
anyways if you need to cope for the time being try wetshaving/double edge razors
I get the bumps regardless :’(, wetshaving makes no difference and neither do double edged razors
o because I think mine doesn't anymore
...
here you go OP
drive.google.com
or buy a used tria 4x for 100$ lol
I think I have some of this somewhere, although it is a bit old. Thanks.
Do not do this. Consumer IPL devices have restricted fluence. They would at best temporarily thin your hair. You need a machine that can output 50 J/cm^2. Also they are slow as fuck. Nobody can do full body once a week with those stupid handheld devices.
Okay, I used to have this problem all the time, now its very rare I get them, at most Ill get goose bumps that feel like razer bumps but go away once I stop shivering and being cold. So. The trick is to exfoliate a lot. I exfoliate in the shower right before shaving and I use sugar to exfoliate, literally just storebought sugar and I put it in a cup and rub it on my skin as a body wash. Make sure to wash it off really well after though.
Wheres a good place to learn how to do IPL on yourself?
You can try using something salicylic acid-y like bump patrol, or just exfoliating before and a few days after if it's more ingrowns and not irritation. If it is irritation, you could try using a shaving oil or conditioner, only using new razors or using a single blade safety razor.
Also some skin and/or hair types are just prone to bumps. I'm black and it's basically a guarantee that I'm fighting razor bumps every time I shave. I epilate sometimes so at least it's a longer period before I have to deal with it.
