Something being the law doesnt make it ok. It's still legal to keep immigrant children in cages. Its legal to prevent kids from getting healthcare they desperately need because you disagree with them(abortion, hrt, vaccination). That doesn't mean it's ok to follow that law, there is such a thing called ethics and morality, and they sometimes contradict laws
