Is it actually common for trans women to have difficulty fitting women's apparel sizes? Or is that just a meme?

no. I can fit into women's smalls

there are 6' obese women, and they fit in women's clothes
you'd have to be pretty fucking big to not fit in large or xl sizes

If you're average guy sized or larger it's hard to find stuff. I'm lucky enough that I'm at the top of normal woman ranges ut if you have size 15 women's feet then yeah you're going to have trouble. Oh and it's always length thats the issue. Finding stuff wide enough is easy and usually it's too wide if anything.

I fit in women smalls for the most part

biggest issue i've seen is that trannies overestimate what size they need and wind up with a lot of ill fitting clothing

before/early transition, yeah
even L womens shirts didn't fit me really, pants didn't really either
Now I wear M or S shirts and my size 6 pants fall down on me :/

its a meme. i fit into mediums mostly and size 6 pants
this

how did you shrink so much

i only have difficulty because i have to find the actual smallest sizes available. finding size 0 skirts and things is weirdly difficult

do trans girls like bfs going clothes shopping with them like how cis girls drag their bfs clothes shopping?

estradiol

a bit of weight loss, though i lost the bulk of it prehrt
otherwise i dont really know, it doesnt feel like my body has changed taht much

Try not being 6'2 lol

too late
now what?

I'm 6'1 and I live in a country where the average MALE height is 5'7, I'm a foot taller than the average female height here. I literally can't buy ANY women's clothes, moreover, even buying men's clothes is problematic at times, my sizes, XL and 2XL (not XXL, these are different sizes), often are online only exclusive in local retail shops, like, it's a pretty common experience when it comes to, let's say, uniqlo here.

Rope. Sorry bud. YWNBAW

Its more about the proportions, but yeah there are clothes made for every size, its just about the amount of them.

actually how tall is contra? Isn't she like the same height
anyway my shoulders look a lot smaller than hers in op's picture, which feels good

i'm too small for mens sizes

larger sizes of pants you'll start to notice the difference drastically because they taper at the waist (just below belly button). so if you have dummy thick thighs and you size up you'll find the wais is too loose.

for things like shirts or dresses: you find you have to size up because of shoulders / ribcage, but if you don't have bolt ons you don't fill it out adequately.
one pieces or dresses can also be tough to navigate. they might be too tight up top if you get the smaller size, but too big everywhere else if you get the larger size.
it has to do with the frame the clothes are designed for.

She's around or above 6ft
