I am 100% fine with anti-trans laws, persecution, bathroom bills, misgendering, etc. because it keeps the focus off of gay people. As such, I welcome transphobia as a distraction. I would happily vote for anti-trans politicians if it means gay rights are not up for discussion. Plenty of people are fine with gay people but draw the line at castrating kids.
