>popular online artist #27747738 comes out as trans >ok cool good for u >they completely stop making anything creative for years and just post selfies/porn of themselves and whore on twitch
Is the attention and validation you get from transitioning so strong you just completely give up your skills and passions to become a full time blogposter? giwtwm
>Is the attention and validation you get from transitioning so strong you just completely give up your skills and passions to become a full time blogposter? You have it backwards. The drive to create art is - almost always - born out of a dissatisfaction with the world. The good old "tortured artist" trope. Once the gender dysphoria abates... without the torture, what remains of the artist?
Henry Ramirez
>t. not an artist
Dylan Cox
idk i thought that was a pretty good smugpost
Bentley Young
Why bother doing anything if people will give you attention and money just for being cute?
Matthew Williams
Yeah it's definitely a thing and a clutch of creators have went down this same exact path. It's seems the torture and desires that help them create good art are replaced with extreme narcissism and love bombing that puts out the fire of creatively within them during transition.
Jack Perez
>The drive to create art is - almost always - born out of a dissatisfaction with the world Why do non artists say shit like this
For one, not every artist is the same. Most artists don't view their art as a "skill", for me it is just something I default to. Like people who listen to music, twirl their hair, pace, etc. Some people invest a lot of time into it, like people who listen to music.
If an artists does something retarded, it's not because of their skill. It's because they're the same as everyone else, being an artist doesn't negate being a generic first worlder zoomer/millennial. This happens to people who aren't artists as well, non artists just can't comprehend that artists are literally just generic motherfuckers. They're whoring out because the average fucking person is a whore.
See? Was it that hard? You can't be a snob and not provide a reason why. Geez some people don't know manners.
Although I do have problems with your response. Op didn't just say skill, but also passion, which is what art is at the end of the day, regardless of what you see it as. Also if art is just something they do then why do they stop when they whore out? Aren't they supposed to keep doing it?
Adam Russell
wtf do you think "snob" is supposed to mean dude
Nathan Collins
Yeah, you are kinda right, I still don't like it
Easton Nguyen
Kill yourself, you aren't an artist so don't give your opinions on art fucking retard. Passions change, times change, what provides the most dopamine changes. >Aren't they supposed to keep doing it? >Supposed Kill yourself You sound like the most square person around. No one is born or destined to do anything Some people do art all their life, early in life, late in life, etc. Interests change. Replace "Art" with any hobby, video games, music, other forms of crafts like music and claymaking, etc. Art ain't fucking special. You have no idea what you're talking about.
James Perry
Jesus dude I wanted to have civilized conversation, why do you gotta tell me to kill myself? I thought you were smart
Because it’s true, if you don’t have some reservations about the nature of reality then the scaffolding of your world view is one based essentially on platitudes. This is mostly talking about art that is meant to say something though, a lot of people can draw really well, but I think the nature of art that’s actually challenging is so because the artist sees things differently.
Jordan Harris
validation from turning into a slightly attractive woman makes most people completely crazy
Alexander Ramirez
>but I think the nature of art that’s actually challenging is so because the artist sees things differently. Are you an artist?
