is there any community, here or anywhere else, that doesn't shit on gender nonconforming males and females, doesn't try to dismiss, invalidate, groom and "crack their egg"? it makes me sick I basically getting bullied out of my videogame community because I refuse to accept trap as a slur and femboy erasure and appropriation by the trans.
you know which character I am talking about, and I'm not here to discuss it. I just want to know if there is any place for people like that.
name one "trap" or gender non-conforming male that isn't a fictional character
Dominic Diaz
what do you mean, like, in porn? there are plenty of people like that I don't mean attention seeking people like linetrap and darkwsifu, I mean just gender non conforming, with unconventional for their gender interests interests, crossdrrssing (not for sex but casually, for physical and mental comfort), things like that
Jonathan Gonzalez
I put the topic into the wrong field,..
Noah Campbell
look now you get something to bitch about too, your gender is "bitchabout" your pronouns are "bitch" and "about" and your fetish is obsessive compulsive cooming (*but not to trans!)
many such cases!
Jose Wilson
I just want to not be shitted on by everyone
Christopher Jackson
right, the reality is that traps and femboys are porn terms, and a way for anime to have trannies without explicitly saying it. They're not real life identities. IRL there's trannies and there's flamers. It's pretty easy to tell the difference. Feminine guys who like crossdressing because it makes them feel good in non-sexual ways are trannies. That includes femboys, self-identifying femboys being the most obvious repressing trannies in the world. You are trying to create an identity based on a term used for tranny anime characters to pretend that they're not trans, from a time when having trans characters in media was unpopular and would be difficult to sell to general audiences. Nobody uses the word trap anymore because it's an out-of-date idea to pretend that feminine guys who dress and act as women, and try to be like women in their everyday lives aren't trans. If it's just a hobby for you, call yourself a crossdresser and nobody will complain. But trying to make this into an identity is silly. If you are male, and want to act and appear as a woman, you're trans. If you're getting real physical and mental comfort from dressing as a woman, that's because it's relieving dysphoria. If you're getting kicked out of videogame communities for talking about traps and femboys, maybe you should talk about videogames instead.
Levi Diaz
the guilty gear community isn't against gnc people in any way. go to a local and stop going on /r/kappa or Twitter where you get lied to
Logan Edwards
I'm not trying to create an identity, the identity was there always, I'm just using words for it that were always used and I'm not repressing. being convinced I was trans brought me nothing but misery and depression I didn't start the discussion in that community the fgc I was in just accepted trans point of view, I disagreed, they shitted on me.
Dominic Howard
cope trannies are disgusting medicalized casualties of modernism and cute boys/ traps have been considered beautiful throughout all of history by every culture on earth
If it exists, I've yet to find it. The increasing tranny population makes it even harder to find since they love making sure online communities operate in their favor. I hope something changes soon, but the internet's probably just fucked for now.
The increasingly convoluted pilpul about why other people can't exist in a way that makes them feel comfortable is getting tiring. No one cares about your arbitrary definitions. A wide variety of gnc men exist, and they can do it however they want.
Asher Barnes
because the character is trans. it's like explicitly stated in the game
Daniel Martin
cute isn't a gender identity
Cooper Wood
But why retcon the previous identity of the character? What was the need for it?
Justin Butler
Astolfo is still a guy, Fate fandom is everywhere
Alexander Nguyen
there is no such thing as gender identity
Luke Murphy
holy shit go outside retard ass loser
Daniel Nelson
it's not a retcon it's a development. nothing about bridgets past was changed instead she went through a period of growth and realized that she didn't want to be seen as a man
finding your identity is messy and hard. i know many people who've gone through periods of going completely against what they ended up realizing they are. Daisuke wanted bridget to realize she's trans and now he did it
Evan Adams
> femboy erasure and appropriation by the trans. Reminder that there is WAY more GNC male representation than there ever has been trans representation. Sorry that 1-2 entire GNC male characters eventually came out as trans but that is NOT the rule.
Isaiah Robinson
Who are you talking about? I’ve never heard of anyone giving two shits about gnc men or women except conservatives. Why do you make up oppressors?
Colton Brooks
Idk it just feels shoehorned in to fit a political agenda. Sorry.
Matthew Reed
Gender non-conforming men shouldn’t exist, men should be masculine. t. Cis Man
Dylan Smith
How does "gender non confirming" not just uphold gender stereotypes that we should work to abolish?
Kevin Fisher
either way i think getting mad and kicking fuzz up over and denying that daisuke has the right to explore the themes and ideas he wants with his characters is also kinda sad and non productive
he has more vastly changed characters story and personality between xx and xrd(he wasn't super involved in xx stories)
Elijah Peterson
i think you're just kinda wrong. daisuke has explored plenty non normative topics through gg characters. everything from autism to complex trauma and extreme ideologies built on transhumanism. using a character built to explore gender to explore gender doesn't feel forced here.
Aiden Harris
Uh, until gender IS abolished, GNC is meaningful. As gender becomes more broad, GNC becomes more narrow. 100 years ago, a woman who cut her hair short, wore trousers and went out smoking and riding her bike would be considered GNC, today maybe not so much.
Joshua Butler
It's just coincidental that he makes the character trans right at the point in history when having "trans representation" gets you a lot of prestige, support and praise from the media etc. If he did it 10 or 15 years ago I'd agree it could be boundary pushing, but doing it now when trans-pandering is very much in vogue? Not so much.
Oliver Parker
>prestige, support and praise from the media etc It also gets out a TON of dumbass screechers whining and complaining and seething about "da woke". This easily and readily drowns out any "prestige"
> trans-pandering is very much in vogue Eyeroll
Joshua Collins
>authors cannot possibly explore things they find interesting because there is some prestige to having representation
first of all daisuke really never got to write bridget fully himself in xx
second of all this isn't giving any evidence behind it. you're just claiming something malicious behind it because you don't like the character development
