There are always exceptions. But women do tend to have neater handwriting because girls usually gain fine motor control before boys do.

If I actually take my time and focus on it, plan out what I want to write and do not hurry needlessly, I've been told I can have a beautiful handwriting.
9/10 times though, I don't do that, so I end up with an inconsistent mix of cursive and normal styled letters.
If I use a ballpoint pen, it gets so much worse, as the increased thickness makes my style even less readable.
