Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K Le Guin. Classic sci-fi experience of a human struggling to understand an alien race whose gender and sexuality is utterly unlike our own. Required reading for anyone hoping to talk about such matters.
I'm not even literate
Im reading the bell jar with my friends :)
I have too much brain problems to read books, I'm into film instead. I recommend the USA Carlotta BD release of Leox Carax's Mauvais Sang. It's one of the few films that never fails to make me cry every time I watch it.
Here's a base64 link for it, google if you don't know what that means: aHR0cHM6Ly9tZWdhLm56L2ZpbGUvbjhKVW1TeUIjTE1qT1VWbDFGaFUxZDZzMlN3b2tyNGc0UWkzQ1c1YTAtQVQzNGYzcXVJMA==
I bought Confessions of a Mask and The Song of Achilles. Any Forums approved?
Listening to the Harrow the Ninth audiobook because if I'm gonna skinwalk as a tumblr girl I might as well enjoy it
One is based gay representation but for the other you should have just read some greeks imo
I really liked The Song of Achilles. I read it right after the Illiad and the author really seemed to have a strong grasp on the characters and history.
i already read the Iliad, but there wasnt enough gay sex for my liking
ah, cool. looking forward to it then
True, homer really should have been the first smut writer in history and add some gay sex scenes
Real World Haskell,

The Dawn of Everything is a fascinating read about how society came to be, how capitalism shaped our modern society, and dispelling myths about how civilization has grown and evolved
AGP: The Book
I’ve been meaning to read that, thanks for the reminder
got this a while ago, still have to read it
explain
Halfway through The Lies of Locke Lamora. It’s part of the Gentlemen Bastards series. I’ve been enjoying it so far, there have been several parts where I’ve actually made a :O face irl because of surprises
I’m reading Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett. I’m just slowly reading through the Discworld series in order of release and enjoying it quite a bit. It’s just casual reading, nice if you like fantasy that doesn’t take itself too seriously
I have this out from the library rn can’t wait to get into it :3
>explain
the whole book is about meta/self-referential properties, not unlike the meta-attractive nature of AGP. also, the primary example of the book (godel's incompleteness theorems) is very malebrained.
wow, that explanation is almost as retarded as trying to explain consciousness with gödel.
