Thoughts on new lesbian

for the lesbians on here, I wanted to know how you felt on the zoomer definition of lesbian. the non-man attracted to non-man one you'll see around.

stone yourself

It's dumb.

so asexual women are lesbian? lol

Dilate, scrote.

I'm gay, carpetmuncher.

asexual means no sexual attraction, doesn't say anything on romantic one so they can still be lesbians. for the record I don't agree with the definition. in attempts to be "inclusive" to nbs it is incredibly flawed and plus its blantly obvious they mean the they/thems with vags and look like women anyways

lol thats one i haven't seen before it made me laugh

i think a lesbian can be trans and transbian is a suitable word for that, it should not be a derogatory just a term like gay or etc

thanks, OP didn't like it and called me a tranny

For being lesbians it’s weird their attraction is defined in a way that centers men.

Its dumb im an enby into enbies, but not a lesbian in anyway even tho i fit the description

who said anything about transbians? lol. the definition is suppose to be inclusive to nonbinary lesbians but again it's flawed because 1. nonbinary doesn't quite mean "non-man" and 2. there are nonbinary genders that are men. also it implies you don't need to be a woman or attracted to women to be a lesbian, just anyone that's a "non-man"

On the contrary. It's fitting precisely because there's nobsuch thing as a real lesbian. They just haven't met the right guy yet, or they met the wrong guy and they are traumatized.

Its stupid as fuck. Who cares what some random person calls themselves?

it definitely is but here's the funny part. the same people want to define gay as non-woman attracted to non-woman. two agender people dating can technically be both a lesbian and gay

zoomers are obsessed with definitions. there is not a single precise, all-encompassing definition for any word in the english language. they all have some exceptions or caveats that merriam-webster or whoever decided at one point was not important enough to write down in their gay little book, because it was either an edge case, self-explanatory or outside the bounds of language itself.

anyone arguing about this at all is retarded, basically

is it consentual to sleep with your pet rock???

Yeah and it rocks

what's with this weird obsession with defining words? lesbian means lesbian. it doesn't need a definition that includes all lesbians and excludes everyone else

no:

heterosexual
homosexual
straight
gay
lesbian

yes:

androphilic
gynephilic
androgynephilic
gynandromorphophilic
femboyphilic

(alternatively androsexual/romantic, gynesexual/romantic, ...)

>what's with this weird obsession with defining words? lesbian means lesbian. it doesn't need a definition that includes all lesbians and excludes everyone else
for some reason everyone really wants to hail from the isle of lesbos

>two agender people dating can technically be both a lesbian and gay
holy based

i kinda like it ngl
t. straight tranner

Why do people who bring this shit up so often care so much about how other people define themselves in their private lives? I haven't even seen this specific definition that OP mentioned, and I think it's just solipsism and nitpicking to pick apart the logical flaws of a strawman, or act like something some people are saying represent the opinions of an entire group who just share some characteristics with them, that's stereotyping and orientalist and overall corrosive to any kind of correct understanding of anything.

Someone who identifies as something inbetween and involving aspects of both maleness and femaleness identifies both with male and female homosexuality when they are in a relationship with someone with a similar gender identity to them? Wow, hilarious, so ridiculous and crazy, have you heard what those crazy kids are doing?

I don't think it's dumb to argue about definitions, but arguing nihlistically over definitions and just trying to assert your will to power and force everyone to accept your definition is definitely an aspect of political projects, and those can get messy.
Authority (political, but in this case also as in author) isn't inherently evil, it's important to establish certain rules (and people who have had their boundaries violated can become obsessive about sometimes arbitrary rules, or completely disregard them, and both extremes are taken advantage of by predators very frequently), this nihilistic education is certainly a symptom of fascist education at the least.

fuck my proofreading skills

hh... ahaha... AHAHHAHAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA

>this nihilistic education is certainly a symptom of fascist education at the least.
are you implying it's fascist to say definitions are bullshit? i'm confused.

It's supposed to be inclusive of non-binary people, many of which are AFABs who are ashamed of their womanhood. But they still want access to women's only spaces. So, not a huge fan.

I'm more bothered by people who are trying to redefine lesbian as an umbrella term that includes bisexual women and even trans men. Fortunately, I've noticed more lesbians speaking out against it recently.

A lot of these bi women with a preference for women are ashamed of their attraction towards men and they also are very prejudiced towards butch women. They want to define lesbian as attraction to femininity, which it is NOT.

That's what most lesbians want.

Translesbians are FTM, MTFs who like women are just hetero.

>t. Zoomer
Lesbians who are also bi have been around since at least the 90s, kids nowadays are obsessed with "correct" labels when historically nobody gives a fuck who identified as what. Did the cops want to shoot you dead for existing? You were considered """valid""" no matter what garbage you considered yourself

I don't really give a shit about the bills bilesbian dickhorse. it's legit no different than dozens of bisexual memn calling themselves gay. historically bi women were welcomed under the lesbian term anyways cause it was just a general term for wlw. exclusive attraction to women didn't matter.
