How can people deny that there's a "social contagion" element of transness when in highschools now there are whole friend groups that existed for years and suddenly all come out as ftm within a month of each other? I'm not sure if there is a mtf equivalent.

>Cishet kids treat anyone different like shit
>Queer kids all hang out together
>They all provide a space for each other
>"WHY ARE THEY ALL BEING GAY IN ONE GROUP!?
I don't think anyone would seriously deny that there's a social contagion aspect to ftm trenders
Idk if it's a "social contagion" or not but that shit definitely is contagious
ftms are all social contagion influenced. put all these girls on an island and never let them see a man in their entire life and they would never want to “transition” because they wouldn’t even know what that means. and the greatest thing about this thought experiment is we have a real world case study in the island of lesbos which literally is the etymology of the word lesbian
Because for a lot of these people, transness is basically dying your hair blue and not wearing a bra. Most of them would not be considered trans 10 years ago, but now you can never point this out because of our culture that insists YOUR. FEELINGS. ARE. HECKING. VALID. above all else
this is incredibly enbyphobic bro
it's simple: in some % of cases this probably plays some role, but in most it probably doesn't. more complicatedly, even when it does play a role, it doesn't necessarily mean the person isn't trans / that transitioning isn't the best long-term option for them
>when in highschools now there are whole friend groups that existed for years and suddenly all come out as ftm within a month of each other?
where's your source for this
>experts say
which ones?
>growing number of detransitioners
no evidence for this claim
