it finally happened to me. i've never been groomed before and didn't know what to look out for. he did it for months and still tries to contact me to do it again. he was a sexual predator and i was not in the right head space. i feel disgusting for the things he made me do, i try to not think about it but it gets to me every time. i hate groomers. why do they exist and do what they do.

i really thought about it, but yeah it's not that simple. i did plenty of cybercrime over the years (not anything like this or targeting individuals) and really really illegal stuff, like punishable up to a decade in jail. he knew this and how i couldn't go to the FBI because they'd also be even more interested in me. they've talked to me before but it wasn't about cybercrime and i stopped doing illegal things after that. i guess i sorta deserve it. i have no choice but to deal with it.

My general impression from interacting with LEO and almost joining myself is that they would much rather you report something like this to them than you try to go by it yourself. Dumb stuff you did online is sort of immaterial when compared to abduction, grooming, etc. Even in a situation where it's something very street level like prostitutes it's generally a better idea to not arrest and use them on informants for crimes that are more violent
Overturning that case doesn't make sodomy illegal, it allows individual states to do so. The FBI is a federal agency and cannot enforce state law.
