I hate this argument so much. I've never watched or cared about any women's sports in my life. Or any men's sports. I don't give a single shit about sports of any kind. But I still obviously see why it's a big deal.

What the fuck does caring about the particular competitions, or even sports in general, have to do with this debate? You think people are like "oh damn, my source of entertainment is now less entertaining, what a shame" and that this is driving their reaction?
