it is because the vast majority of trannies are spooked. if i could pass i would be indifferent to whether or not people treated me as a woman or not, though i assume they would if i did so
gender dysphoria is divided in 3 parts:
>biological dysphoria
based upon how ur biology is compromised. this cant fully be reversed, but by transitioning and makin an effort 2 look like biological women as much as possible, it can be mitigated. genital dysphoria is included in this type of dysphoria
>mental dysphoria
based upon how much ur mind aligns with that of ur identity. this is were all the ppl whining abt being "malebrained" and "fembrained" come from
>social dysphoria
this form of dysphoria is based upon how society at large treats u depending on how u are perceived by others. this form of dysphoria is very connected with biological dysphoria since the best way 2 be treated like the gender u identify is by passing.
every gender dysphoric person has each form of dysphoria 2 some extent, but some have more of a certain type of dysphoria than others.
ex.
gigahons who're happy and confident have have very little biological dysphoria(but still enough 2 transition).
passoids who're proudly malebrained and dont care abt their mannerisms have very little mental dysphoria.
trannies who're openly trans and announce their status 2 everyone they meet have very little social dysphoria.
overall, within trans communities mtf passers have always used womens spaces since a long time, but hons have always been discriminated, being forced 2 live as men, which is something that can worsen their social dysphoria, and when one form of dysphoria worsens, so do the rest. if they arent treated like women then it must mean they arent women(biological dysphoria) or at least dont think like women(mental dysphoria)
so these attempts to integrate trans women into womens spaces has been a way 2 help nonpassing trans ppls mental health by helping them live as women, and 2 minimize the need to pass since not every person has the ability to pass. but trust me, passing trannies have always used female spaces, its just that they were never noticed.
The problem is the social lack of filtering for those with autogynephilia (not treally trans, just perverts who get off on seeing themselves feminized), or worse still, sexual predators who feminize themselves in an attempt to manipulate women into sex, and actual trans individuals who feel legitimate dysphoria with their bodies and only wish for interaction with the gender they identify with. This isn't news or anything. Pretty much every trans social circle will have a groomer/predator, and theybare notorious for being the vocal minority who wish to inject themselves into cis women's spaces.
