Then they don't have to suffer, and might even get reborn in their preferred gender or whatever.

Eugenics might be the more appropriate label. But IMO, you have to allow parents the right to screen for conditions like Down syndrome and abort if they choose, because the alternative is forcing people to give birth.

Exactly. They would tell the parents that due to an anomaly, the child is most likely not gonna feel comfortable in their own gender, and either give them the option to abort or continue with it. Literally nothing wrong with it.

We most likely will move to this eventually like we did with down's syndrome. We just can't detect it yet. There's a theory that transgenderism is just a neurological condition similar to autism, hence the regular comorbidity of the two, and we still can't detect autism in the womb despite it being more studied, we do have better tools nowadays, so it's probably 1-2 decades away.
It's still a defect, the same applies to people with disabilities like autism or whatever

sure but if society is more accepting of trans ppl as their actual gender that can be mitigated and more trans people will start transitioning younger
It's no different from aborting people with down syndrome or any other genetic abnormality that will prevent them from leading a healthy life.
Although in the future it might be possible to implant self cloned organs so you could fix a trans kid right after birth by giving them the right sex organs, so this becomes a moot point
How young is young enough? If doctors can detect transgender babies in the womb early enough, they could theoretically fix it before their reproductive system is fully done, but then again, aborting is much easier and cheaper for the woman.

I used to be against letting parents hypothetically selecting their kids sexuality, but after some reflection I think that allowing it might actually reduce harm. It's entirely possible that some parents might actually choose to select for gay children.
