Are voice training guides helpful? It feels like everyone on this board with a passing voice just 'winged it' until they passed.

voicehon here so fuck if i know but transvoicelessons said it was more about experimentation than just doing the exercises. so it seems like to get your voice to sound good you just have to keep trying things until it does.
yea desu i didn't use any voice guides or anything and fell into a passing voice
can you post a vocaroo and maybe explain what you did
They are not helpful at all
You don’t need to read a fucking thesis on voice training to voice train
it seems to me like they overcomplicate it to an EXTREME level just to get you to pay for lessons
i got a passing voice without reading any of the guides. i just did shit that /vtg/ recommended
But when I go to /vtg/ I just see the guides at the top. What do you mean?
i meant doing what the *people* in vtg said to do
heres my voice too (i feel compelled since luka posted hers)

i only posted mine cause they asked lol
Same here, feels like all those guides are fucking useless, especially if you are not native english speaker
it's both.
you need to voicetrain to improve your control and your muscles, then you need to experiment to find your voice.
for some just following the guide is enough others need more experimentation.
How the fuck am I supposed to voicetrain when my roommates can listen to me and at least one of them is in the apartament everytime?
Eventually you will have to speak where people hear you. Just rip that bandaid off now
white noise machine
larynx exercises are pretty silent
They're helpful but also yeah you need to experiment for it to *click* for you. Guides will help you grasp the essential concepts and exercises help you develop muscles but nobody can tell you "do this and then that" for you to suddenly have a girl voice.
I'm gonna permaboymode, though.
Are those the ones where you keep humming?
pretty much yeah
>permaboymode
No such thing. It either turns into manmoding or malefailing (which then gets undone by your unpassing voice). You'll inevitably grow older and those are the two paths you have.
I've "malefailed" before, even after speaking, but that was only because he was a professor and he probably realized I'm a troon and wanted to be polite. Also, I was wearing a mask.
This is my voice and there's no way he thought I was a woman: voca.ro
So I'm sure he was just being nice.
He was being nice so you didn't malefail. Start working on that voice so you have it ready when you do.
Idk try leaving the house
