Ashkenazi are central european jews, west european + north africa + latin america Jews are Sephardi, which is the mixture I am.
Ashkenazi Jews are paler and more blond than most Europeans south of the Alps. Their Semitic features are eye and mouth shape but their coloring is really pale. Even the darker looking ones like Idina Menzel or Rachel Weisz are much paler and could easily be mistaken for Portuguese, Spanish or Greek people.
By comparison, Sephardi Jews are brown. We look like North Africans.
