Synth, retrowave, outrun

>i play this stupid instrument
i wish i could play an instrument.

i like all music.
lots of techno, house, electronic, ambient, acid(i posted that tb303 yesterday lol), trance
lots of soul, pop, 70's, 80's, shoegaze, alternative indie post punk, acoustic guitar covers, fingerstyle covers of songs
idk i usually change what im listening to every monthish i go through phases

Easier than you think it is. You make crazy progress in a week.

jazz fusion adjacent stuff. steely dan, 10cc, spinetta, herbie. indie jangle pop stuff, men i trust, diiv, beach fossils.
i play a few instruments and record/mix myself, but i'm not a good singer and do not play well in the presence of others, so barring a psychological overhaul, i am condemned to my music residing within the confines of my room and my ears.

what ressources would you recommend ?

>Do you also create your own music ?
no :/ but if I could I'd to make something like Adrianne Lenker and Alex G do.

Depends on the instrument but theres TONNES of information online. When I started learning piano, I would look up scales, their chords and the notes on line. If you just google a scale like A major scale chords or A major piano notes, there will be sheets available online on google images. Same for guitar. If you search youtube theres lots of resources that break down music theory that are for laymen and it's very easy to get. Like this one for example youtu.be/rgaTLrZGlk0

>(i posted that tb303 yesterday lol)
yeah i saw it yesterday. is it yours?
can i ask where you from ?
> i go through phases
same; but also really love when people just suggest stuff that i would usually never listen. listened to french canadian pop music for a while.
i think that only holds when you have some kind of musical talent... i am kind of tone death arrhythmic.>so barring a psychological overhaul, i am condemned to my music residing within the confines of my room and my ears.
tried psychedelics/drugs maybe they help you play better in the presence of others

oh yeah that video is how I started learning music theory lmao
I wasd more asking about ressources on how to improve on an instrument but thanks you, i'll dig into the channel !

Would ya'll be interested in creating a discord for music sharing? Like for tips critique and for the hell of it? Just for the anons from this board?

>is it yours
nope im a europoor so im getting a Behringer TD-3-SR soon
i went through a french pop phase(not canadian tho) not too long ago, verey kino music.
idk why the french are so good at making electronic music but they are in a league of their own

I like to make silly happy hardcore edits

I feel like a lot of stuff I make is borderline "tranny ore" but I'm a cisgay :/ am I valid?

Love the sample origin

i know we hate to hear it but the truth is that there is no shortuct to learning an instrument, you just gotta play it a lot
so yeah play a lot, its fun!!! :)

youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTKhUdPIHIuhhCrMuKJWcjnXUfAN3f5Mn this is a good channel for learning the basics of music-making and playing.

i like to listen to light slice of life stuff like anime, dating sim OSTs, cookie run OST, nintendo stuff esp animal crossing,, but then also a bunch of trap stuff and pluggnb, carti, vocaloid stuff, digicore, hyperpop, also classical stuff like mozart, satie, debussy, mcdowell those are my fav composers. i make music also its like slice of life and whimsical with beats and the vocaloid and me off it yeah

Nightcore happy hardcore edits of sad acoustic songs seems to be very untapped. It's frustrating personally. I wanna do one for breathe 2am, fast car, and you're beautiful. But I'm busy with life. I don't want to make them I just want them to exist for me. So.. if someone with talent wants to crack it plz do and post results

id be down to join if ever

>nope im a europoor
sorry to hear but better than poor-poor.
where are you being europoor?
> idk why the french are so good at making electronic music but they are in a league of their own
can you give me some suggestion.

I wish I had your talent.

Korg stuff is fun, if cheap. I’m sure you can learn a lot with it
