Crossboarder here, I'll be honest. The thing stopping me from supporting LGBT is that part of me thinks it's really just a fetish. For instance, we legalized gay marriage as an olive branch to gays, but the amount of those pursuing same sex marriage didn't actually increase. In fact, it seemed to only increase the amount of Grindr sex hookups and public displays of promiscuity that gays have always been doing, except it's been destigmatized so they have no shame about doing it now. It seems that LGBT individuals don't have any respect for the cultural foundations that make a working society tick, and support would only erode these foundations further. An increasingly hedonistic American culture doesn't exactly make for a good populace. I'm afraid the transgender thing will only make things worse, but I am open to having my mind changed. What rights do LGBT individuals not already have? Do you really need more societal, cultural, and familial support if you're just going to chase your kinks and hookups in private anyways?

True, just the other day I was going to my local grocery store to buy some miniature condoms, and there were 11 (I stopped and took the time to count) men having sex! It was in in the aisle that mostly stocks breakfast cereals, although there were other common unhealthy breakfast foods in there as well, like those sugary breakfast bars.
Anyways back to the point, these 17 men were all butt-naked and just really going at it! Penises in butts, penises in mouths, penises touching penises. Any type of gay sex you could imagine was happening right there. I was so impressed by their overall passion and vigor that I pushed my shopping cart aside and spent several minutes appreciating their love-making.
Then I realized, the cereal aisle is in sight from a nearby rack that was advertising small toys from some children's television show that I had never heard of before. I was appalled! Just think if a young child came to see the toys here and happened upon the intense display of lust going on next to the Captain Crunch? It's terrible how society has decayed.

You can't really call a sexuality "just a fetish" when it takes up a massive part of your life. Gay people being with their partners and trans people existing need to be accepted because it's basically impossible to hide it from the public. If you have a foot fetish you can keep it in the bedroom, lgbt people cant do this because they need to hit on same sex people or simply exist if they're trans and don't pass. That's why acceptance is so important. I am a strictly monogamous trans woman idk but I would be way happier with the world if I could go outside presenting as a girl and not be terrified of being hurt because I don't pass. Just use a little empathy and see how hard this situation is for us.

Do you truly believe that straight men are as promiscuous as gay men? Even the "right-wing" gays only care about sex and porn, they don't build families either. I feel that gay culture is a pretty unique phenomenon.

Not answering that specifically, but my argument against the original post:
1. Originally lgbt people are against societal norms were because they were cast out of society by everyone else. As for nowadays, I think a lot are deviant, but not really much higher than the rest of the population. The ones who are not you just don't notice. People are more promiscuous nowadays, it's not really specific to lgbt people. I personally don't see it as a problem. I would be more sympathetic if there was any evidence birthrates were declining because of lgbt people (which there isn't) and if population was decreasing unsustainably (which it isn't).
Sorry that's long winded. Basically: I don't think lgbt people are more hedonistic than the rest of the population. And I don't think society's current level of flirtation with hedonism is harmful.

Yes, they are. They can't afford to have as much sex because they're after women, who don't tend as willing to fuck complete strangers. Gay men also don't suffer from the pressure to marriage the same as heterosexual people do, so they just don't if they don't feel like it.
