These kinds of posts aren't that different from chuds portraying trans people as pedophiles. With certain exceptions like priests and very vocal anti-trans/anti-gay advocates, there probably isn't that much projection on average when it comes to these things. For example, most people who believed Pizzagate and QAnon stuff are simply insane and/or very gullible rather than projecting pedophiles.
Fascism in general definitely is projection, though.
