rougelites, soulsborne, nintendo games, rpgs, fps... mostly single player stuff for the past few years but sometimes I play smash and mario kart 8 online on my switch. lately I've been playing binding of issac but I also recently completed the 3D mario games (thanks to being able to play mario galaxy 2 with the wiimote)

Thanks! It's pretty cool, bur I've got kinda jaded on it tbhon haha. Also, I'm afraid I don't have a lot to tell you regarding prosthetics, as my program was more focused on cellular and genetic technologies than human-scale ones.
That said, iirc there is a device which is used to provide an alternative to sight; it takes depth images (with an ultrasonic sensor?) that show how far away things are, and then represent this data on a mechanized board of pins placed on the lower back and gently presses the image into the skin so the user can "see" through their sense of touch.
