u guys dont have to listen to all of this i just kinda rambled voca.ro/119sDTqU9LEh anyhow do i have the tranny lilt?? am i crazy? i think i definitely hear it but no-one else does. idk how to get rid of it
I think you sound really good! I like your neutral voice and I think your only issue is with vocal fry, but even then I don't think it's that big of a deal. Ngl, I've never heard of the tranny lilt, but I wouldn't be able to clock you.

ty !!! vocal fry has always been an issue for me so i've sorta given up on tryin to fix it lol..but i think it is getting somewhat better, at least when my voice is warmed up! i hope so, anyways. and idk how to describe what i'm talkin abt,, it's like that sort of whiney quality in or underneath(?) the voice that a lot of transfems seem to have. it sounds a little like the gay lilt if i had to make a comparison (maybe the same root?) but it's something u will notice a lot once u hear it for the first time :^((( i've accidentally clocked a few tranners i've met bc of it and it makes me feel so bad. but that's why i'm afraid of having it bc it's super noticeable.

You guys realize it's imposible to get a cis voice right?
Which one? Its a meme, you will NEVER not sound tranny
Jose Carter

Lincoln Davis
I'm SO frustated, theres only like 3 trannys in the whole world who actually sound cis WTF
John Barnes
>you will NEVER not sound tranny That makes it even better.
Charles Fisher
youngshits sound cis if they start early enough ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and plenty of older trans women sound cis too or at least cis enough to pass and to me there isn't a difference i've had ppl express surprise to me before when i've told them i'm trans specifically bc of my voice singing seems to be the only real hard limit for most ppl but i guess that's just ime
I feel like I have some inconsistencies in my voice that I don't know how to address but I feel like it's mostly in an acceptable range?
Jayden Garcia
bestie i want your voice so bad i would literally never clock u in a million years u sound super super good i don't even know what to critique i'm sorry
IDK how to start voice training, i tried watching the transvoicelessons vídeo but i dont understand anything!

if you're bein for-real,, the swallow-and-hold method is a super good place to start!! it'll give you an idea of how to adjust your resonance and what that feels like, and that's one of the most important parts. basically you just swallow and hold your larynx in place when it rises to the top of your neck, and then release tension and try speaking. you'll sound silly at first but it'll sound better as you learn where the best place to rest your larynx is :^)) it's different for everyone. a lot of ppl i've talked to have trouble controlling their larynxes, and this method should also give you a basic idea of how to move yours purposefully, because it feels a little like opening and closing your throat.
