What? I don’t know where you live, but at least here in Germany and neighbouring European countries autonomous social centers are a big thing, where I have most of my gigs. Even normal music venues and clubs for electronic music often have some kind of leftist social etiquette and you will be thrown out for saying a racist slur or something like that.

I live in Croatia, where it's kind of the opposite. Very right centered society, not all people are like that but lots of them are. Slavic country with lots of people who are very nationalistic and some who praise WW2-era Croatia. Not many electronic artists. We do have clubs and obviously various different genres, but most people just listen to folk, turbofolk and pop rock music. The "alternative" people sometimes listen to metal but they're always the most basic metalheads who are posers that say "yeahhhh I fucking love metal bro!!!"

I once played a set in a venue in Zagreb, which was called Medika, I think? The vibe was pretty close to the kinds of venues I usually play at. I don’t know if it still exists and it was kind of shabby, but it might be worth checking out if you’re interested in that kind of scene. If you’re willing to travel, I highly recommend Metelkova in Ljubljana, it’s one of my favourite locations for that kind of thing

Medika is alright, and there are other things like Močvara in Zagreb, too, but it's simply all overshadowed by other stuff + it doesn't exist practically anywhere else outside of Zagreb. I know there are music festivals in like Split or Rijeka IIRC, but it's usually just house or regular EDM, not much spice to it.
Maybe I should start making my own music. I don't know. Never heard of Metelkova though, so thanks for recommending. Do you do music for a living or do you work something else and music is a side hustle? And, since you're on this board, what letter are you and how does it affect your sorta public image? Do people comment on anything or not?

it's really fun if you want a slow paced dungeon crawler series, more exploration than the combat heavy nature of dark souls
shadow tower is a similar, more frustrating series by fromsoft with no background music and a much larger bestiary. the second one is especially good but you need fan patches to emulate it because the west never got it. allows you to cut off monster limbs and stuff
