Why do you want to start HRT if you don't want to be a woman?

Your personality is always going to change with major changes to your life. Im skeptical that all the people who claim HRT changed who they were inside weren't just insanely repressed beforehand and transitioning just let them come out of their shell. Speaking for myself im basically the same person. Just happier

no I still have the same autistic male interests like video games and anime. My best friend hasn't noticed me changing at all when it comes to personality. I have feminine interests too like fashion but I had those before hrt. If you hang out with a bunch of pro lgbt people like in support groups and shit maybe but changing who you hang out with always affects your personality. Now I go back to elden ring.

i never worried about this with hrt, im an infinitely superior person to who i was just a couple years ago in every way, and hrt has helped me reach this happiest time in my life

Yes, both because the endocrine system is incredibly powerful and can have effects on your other hormonal glands and brain, and because choosing to do something like HRT and feeling it work for you (or not work, in some ways) and change your body can have a massive effect on the way you see yourself, your locus of control, the likelihood of you feeling better, the benefit of connecting with other people, etc.

I can only speak about it from a testosterone perspective though. for me, it was as though a very dense fog of depression and frustration cleared, and I was just...chill. just chill and normal and ok in a way I had not been since puberty.

Honscience I'm pretty sure. Trans people are so insistent on whatever will make people accept them and for a lot of people that was just gesturing vaguely toward "brain chemistry" and early neuroscience. Cis ppl who don't hate trannies bandwagoned on. All the "trans brains are like their desired gender" just strikes me as assimilationist tactics rather than anything which is true or matters

Do you think about things before you act or speak or are you ruled by whims? If you know the answers to these questions, you know whether HRT could change what you call your personality.
