y'all, i recently had a giant insight into why i boymode does this resonate with any of y'all?
from like early childhood i always really really liked and saw myself as tomboy characters, and especially girl characters who were forced to pretend to be boys. i actually very much distanced myself from feminine boy characters, even though thats closer to what I was objectively. i think this is because i saw myself as a girl who was forced to be a boy. + so i think boymoding is kinda a way to reclaim that experience of being a girl living as a boy, except now it's on my terms instead of as a result of a not so good society. in fact, i boymode even at a super accepting college where everyone is like super chill with lgbt

i did the same, tho im too mentally ill to keep studying this semester so i'm taking some time off now.
to add on to ur post a little, i think personally i prefer spending more time around men bc even tho i feel like way more of an outsider among them (physically and otherwise) they don't other me or exclude me in the same ways that women do. like, i'm pretty shy and i feel like guys try more to include me when they talk than women.
in general i kind of feel like i was just meant to be girly and live among boys, and especially in my school setting where they often seem more tolerant of differences. it helps that they're so cute too...
