my older brother doesn't like me being an anti-male feminist.
i told him everything. over half of the men in our civilization are porn users. almost 90% of porn depicts sexual violence and degradation against women and trans folk. over 90% of rapists are men. sexual dimorphism in mammals produces characteristics that make males more able and willing to use violence, and dimorphism emerges and stays from repeated patterns of male violence. the greater the dimorphism, the greater the medical cost of treating dysphoria, and the greater the disparity between cis and trans folk.
my brother changed the subject and told me about the ways that women used to objectify me, and that i used to be more aware of that before i became a feminist.
in high school i was sexually harassed all around, and as my brother said, i was objectified by my female classmates. they used to dress me up, some of them called me a doll, a futanari, and a trap. i felt like i was a doll to my friends. i played along because i felt like that was the only way people could like me. i felt like people would like me more if i sat still. like a pretty doll.
i guess my older brother meant that women can also be creepy and predatory toward feminine males like me, and i guess it may be true, but i don't see it. all i see now is documentation on obstetric rape, injuries from the sex trade, deaths from forced pregnancy. i felt the pain of being raped too. my brother helped me internalize that some terfs may talk about some transfems the way men talk about women. but i don't think i'll turn my back on being an anti-male feminist.
do other transfems here have experiences like this? have i been indoctrinated? because i feel like this is all just my own conscience at work
you listed a bunch of statistics but no actual opinions. if you're "anti-male" stance is just recognizing that data than no sane person is going to have an issue with it. If there's some societal change you want it's probably fine as long as you recognize it should also effect you since you are a male.
Jonathan Mitchell
my opinion is that males can and should be stripped of their physical advantages that allow them to assert their hierarchy above women. one of my fears about this though is that, like with rabbits, women might become more sexually dominant toward males, thought it's doubtful that it would often result in intercourse or even dating. rather than it being physical dominance, it would be social. female bonobos have been observed playing matchmaker in their societies, organizing pairings that folks even in this tide would deem taboo. regardless, male supremacy is a lot more horrific.
in any case, the world around us doesn't seem quick to acknowledge the statistics i've cited, so i think heightened awareness and dread of those points of data is at least in some way inherently feminist and anti-male
Brayden Barnes
How exactly do you intend to strip males of their physical advantages? Even HRT doesn't fully weaken males relative to the average female.
Andrew Ward
Internet fucked your brain I feel sorry for your brother
What you are now talking trash behind his back. Pretty coward move
Benjamin Nelson
>my opinion is that males can and should be stripped of their physical advantages that allow them to assert their hierarchy above women. Anti-male feminists are insane and also wrong, and it just goes back to why so many of them are scared of trans women. They are incapable of seeing anything beyond biology. You say that the main reason that men hold power over women is physical ability, but in reality, it’s entirely societal. This can be seen in communities where the opposite is true, women hold power over men. The source of patriarchy is not biological, but rather cultural.
Gabriel Williams
law, mostly. discouraging horseplay from early childhood. greater freedom for women to choose partners that would get them called "closeted lesbians", without facing that kind of stigma. voluntary doses of anti-androgens that are suboptimal for feminizing HRT, again, without stigma. discouraging use of pornography. not that i condone it, but being treated the way i was by women did make me a little more docile, beware femdom fetishes though, see discouragement of pornography
Kayden Martin
Can no pornography be a good kind of pornography? : (
Mason Foster
You haven’t offered any real solutions to anything. “Law” doesn’t mean anything, how would laws be enforced? How would our culture shift enough for these “laws” to even be considered? What exactly are these “laws.” The fact that your best “solution” is literally just sexual harassment of men just proves that your ideas really have no where to stand.
Brody Ross
you wanna talk about culture? what about 'chad' and 'gigachad' memes that men love using to assert their supremacy over others? what about memes rendering relationships with women as accessories to male success? there is a lot more casual misogyny in our culture than you seem aware of
Connor Flores
I am an actual anti-male feminist and I find your transition deplorable. You're worse than the average man because you're actively aware of the issue and instead of resolving it in yourself you just try to disguise yourself as a woman to avoid the stigma.
Eli Richardson
Literally nothing you said refutes anything I claim, rather just giving examples to support it. You seem to be convinced that the solution is biological, I disagree.
Aaron Rivera
How about instead of getting rid of all pornography, we replace bad pornography with better pornography?
Cooper Cooper
no such thing as good pornography
Henry Hill
Why not?
Robert Parker
i do not call myself a woman. and i don't perform feminine stereotypes. the way you project stereotypes onto me, mind you. like the way terfs insinuate that transfem survivors of rape "secretly enjoy it and find it validating?" sort of like what men say about women fantasizing about being raped and that it makes them feel more like women? i definitely welcome you to state your plan though
Ryan Adams
Call me old-fashioned but how about if instead of filming sex to be posted online for coomers to fap to, we make love for hours in private with only each other present?
Robert Bell
gigachad is brainless male affirmation. pretty easy cultural solution.
because pornography is the erotic depiction of women's subordination. even in "good" pornography, they're still objectified, thus subordinated, by the male gaze.
Ethan Jones
That's fun too, kinda not always possible for those of us in long distance relationships though.
Landon Sullivan
>gigachad is brainless male affirmation. >pretty easy cultural solution So your solution… is to ban gigachad memes
Asher Sanders
What about gay porn? Gay porn can be good porn because there are no women involved, right?
Carson Evans
if you're in a relationships of any type you shouldn't be looking at pornography
Jason Thompson
That's between the two of us, not for you to decide.
Carter Lopez
>"all pornography is bad cause muh wimminz subordination"
Guess what, there's pornography which doesn't even have any women or transformers in it.
Ian Reyes
no, to deprecate them, as brainless forms of male supremacy. and teaching people to identify when the message is male supremacy.
kinda telling how you think being anti-male necessarily makes me authoritarian. just like how men's rights in male-dominated states criminalized homosexuality and turned a blind eye to marrital rape
i actually feel the same way despite trying not to be. and me being a transfem also adds fuel to my hatred.
Hunter Wright
you're against men? great! you can collect the trash and keep the lights and water on and the food coming.
Easton Hall
this is genuinely just a sign of low empathy
Jeremiah Scott
no. and i'm not gonna wear bras either.
by that description, it does not fit the feminist description of porn. and i doubt anyone besides gay men would look at it. still, there are shots of gay porn that depict acts of aggression.
...what the fuck is the feminist description of porn that two big hairy men sticking their dicks in each other isn't pornographic? I'm not upset I'm just honestly baffled.
Blake Powell
>kinda telling how you think being anti-male necessarily makes me authoritarian I think you’re authoritarian because your proposed solution to “stripping males of their physical advantages” is “law mostly” At this point, I don’t even think you know what you’re trying to say.
Chase Cruz
>do other transfems here have experiences like this? You're not alone.
>have i been indoctrinated? No, you're seeing the world for what it is.
>because i feel like this is all just my own conscience at work Never ever doubt yourself. Because you are a femme individual you probably can't help but feel sympathy for the ones you hate -- this is wrong. Men are responsible for the vast majority of violent crime, virtually all wars, and have been the pillars to establish pretty much any systemic injustice you can think of (race, gender, sexuality etc).
Do. Not. Back. Down.
Ever.
Your brother sounds like a typical man, and typical men are never worth your time. Split if you can, all he'll do is drain your energy by being around him. Find people that lift you up, not bring you down.
Strike system. Every time a man uses his physical strength or social status to control or harn a woman he gets one strike.
One strike is a fine. Two: chemical castration. Three: physiological castration.
Not only will he not be able to rape anyone, he will also be permanently removed from the gene pool.
