trans woman here. i HATE the current state of trans women and idk what to do. i used to be basically a hard leftist, bigtime indoctrinated into the "i kill nazis" mindset, but i kept noticing increasing hypocrisy on both sides of the political spectrum, and in my pursuit of truth and knowledge, i have reached a crossroads where i'm fencesitting on the topic of if i'm really transgender, and if transgender people are a valid and real existence at all. as a bit of a background, i was extremely happy living as a trans woman for a few months, and many people accepted me as such, but i've grown to be a bit embarrassed with the entire movement and how i behaved. i feel like i sort of appropriated an idea of what i felt like a woman was. i don't know where else to go to talk about any of this. i sit here miserable with nothing but these thoughts and emotions, and after years, i think they have become too powerful to ignore. what does Any Forums think about the entire situation? am i valid? am i trans? what is happening to the West with this phenomenon? I really just want answers in my life... Nowhere else is it okay to talk about this.

it's part of an agenda to feminize men, thereby making them weaker/submissive and easier to control. as obviously men are the biggest threats to tyrannical control (see every war/revolution ever). hence why testosterone levels have dropped by over 40% in the last 50 years due to them lacing our foods with microplastics and other corrosive chemicals. in junction with subtle social conditioning such as literally every tv show you see the man is dumb, weak, and submissive, whereas his wife is intelligent, levelheaded, strong and the head of the household. remember toxic masculinity? a person who is masculine is harder to control than one who is feminine, this is inherent. they want a society of dumbed-down, low-t, feminine, passive men, then they'll have free reign.

You don't have to be some unhinged leftist to be trans, no matter what reddit tells you. Obviously the right hates us, but that doesn't mean you become a full blow reactionary. Just live your life.

That isn't what happened. I'm not a contrarian, but I'm a really curious person and I'm always doing research. The whole thing just became less believable to me as time went on. I mean, sure, I do enjoy living like that, but I also feel it was partially performative, as great as it felt.
Would you rather grow old in a male body? Does that idea give you dysphoria? This is literally the only thing that matters. A lot of people have conflated personality with gender (trenders), but in truth there's no one way a woman should act, and has no bearing on whether you're trans or not.
It absolutely 100% beyond any shadow of a doubt gives me dysphoria to grow old in a male body.
The next time someone asks me why I'm gay, I'm just going to say "It's an MK-Ultra psyop."

and to expand on this, you don't have to act like some caricature of a woman, like some aged hon or cringy theyfab. Believe it or not, women come in all kinds of personalities. Mine hasn't changed with a year of hrt, although I'm more open and express myself in my more natural feminine ways, like hand movement, voice and body language. The shit that got me teased way back when.

first of all it sounds like you made the common mistake a lot of baby transgendeds make of adopting the identity of leftism without really understanding the core principles of leftism. progressive ideals aren't just a checklist of issues you have to be right on, which seems to be what a lot of cliquey twitter / tumblr trans people act like they are; they're an underlying commitment to believing in people's rights to self-expression, to living without fear of bigotry and abuse, and so on and so forth.

this is normal, i think. it takes a certain amount of deprogramming to go from conceptualizing womanhood as a product targeted towards men to developing a healthy understanding of womanhood. being around trans people who've solidified their identities and other mature, queer-positive women helps build a more foundational view of one's own womanhood. as AMABs we've been taught to suppress any exploration of our own femininity and so we typically have to look to it in artificial sources, e.g. stereotypical depictions of women in media. hence the catgirl trans phenomenon.
it's not appropriation, it's repression. anybody of a certain group who's been trained to think and act as if they weren't a member of a group is going to have trouble learning to embrace their identity
