Regardless of whether you think it's causational for any significant number of cases of gender dysphoria, it's obvious that autogynephilia is a fetish some people have. However, the word itself is too tainted. Perhaps we need a better, less clinical-sounding word for it, like 'gay' is to 'homosexual'.

I feel like 'gender euphoria' isn't really the same thing at all. I'm referring specifically to the sexual fetish for the idea of oneself as a woman/becoming a woman, which seems to be only somewhat correlated with gender dysphoria if at all- I have some friends who are definitely autogynephiles but have no serious interest in transitioning.
