I found out yesterday that my country gives out hrt for free to those who have gender disphoria. Unfortunately tho you still have to pay for hair removal. I don't have an official diagnosis because fuck the government I want privacy, but I was considering to go to a specialist to get one.
What would you do? Considering that hrt is not that expensive and I can get it without prescription (I'm doing it since some time already).
I am afraid that I will not pass and I will have to boymode but with a diagnosis the government will want to check on me and I heard that I might be required to change all my documents to match my desired gender.
Which will be embarrassing if my facial hair doesn't go away (my face would already pass otherwise, my body not so much at the moment).

Anyhow, you can get a private psychiatrist and ask them for a “quesito diagnostico sulla disforia di genere” and hope that they won’t scam you; there’re some who will give you the diagnosis in one to three sessions, but I think most will just suck. After that, you have to wait at least six months for a name change and if you live in Sicily you are fucked cause transphobia, so you better change your residency to Tuscany for the whole thing. And to start it, find a lawyer who will do it with gratuito patrocinio if you are fooking poor and most importantly that did that before; also, by not going through the NHS you may also get the CTU to evaluate your “dysphoria” (it’s retarded right?) and that will be on you to pay (unless the gratuito patrocinio stuff… I think); also if you pass that’ll greatly improve your chances to change name. Aaand finally, without NHS you have to ask your family doctor to prescribe you sandrena or whatever you are taking and hope they’ll give it to you (mine didn’t, so I went with injections + CPA)

Also if you want to go on injections there’s a pharmacy that makes estradiol valerate but to get it for free you have to find a cool endo and go through NHS

Also your facial hair won’t ever go away, you must do laser (alexandrite, to be specific or electrolysis if you have dark hair on a dark skin et similia)… it won’t be pleasant, I did my fourth today and my face hurts like crazy

I always had long hair, they started to gender me male only some time after 16 years old and even then only when I cut my hair short and my beard grew a little everyone was sure.
So I fought hard for almost 20 years to be seen as male and now I want to go back so badly I am buying hrt off the internet to become as female as possible.
