I did lose my emotional intensity like OP did, but I fail to see the issue, it's the topmost best thing I've gotten from T so far. To the point that, while I have never been sure I am trutrans enough to be taking T, I cant stop because the added emotional resilience is so god tier.

But this is separate from the biological factors that directly inhibit crying. It is possible to have a situation where a sex is generally less emotionally intense due to biological factors, but is also discouraged from emotional expression socially, and when faced with difficult situations, the lack of social support (and general higher access to firearms compared to women) increases the risk of successful suicide

Not ftm but interested in taking testosterone, this is the number one thing that's scaring me away from trying it out other than just regretting it or detransing. Testosterone does reduce impulse control and increase anger/aggression, even as it directly inhibits crying.

And since successful suicide is actually very rare statistically speaking (e.g. 12.5 per 100k people for dutch men), it is possible to have general trends where studies show T inhibits crying, but the lack of male social support causes the minority of males to break particularly hard
