Are NBs aware that its literally impossible to pass as neither male nor female? You'll get gendered something one way or another, especially by older generations who don't acknowledge NB as a thing, people will guess even if they can't figure your gender out.
Are NBs aware that its literally impossible to pass as neither male nor female...
It's like demisexuality for trans people instead of gay people, a way for cishet women to get in
That’s because it’s a meme gender for women
I just call myself enby because, despite having dysphoria over my male features and taking HRT, I don't really have a desire to pass as a woman nor do I want to identify as one, the same way I don't want to identify as a man. However, that does not mean I'm gonna be forever tweaking my appearance so no one can see my AGAB, I'm just gonna alter my appearance until I'm happy with myself, and I will not care wether I'm pass as either gender.
In my opinion, being an enby is about being a myselfmoder, not being a YouShallNotKnowMyAGABmoder.
A couple do.
I'm not opposed to the NB label if it helps get people access to surgery etc.
>You'll get gendered something one way or another
i actually walked into a small town antique store a couple of weeks ago and was referred to as “he…. she…. they?” by a distressed elderly woman lol
it is possible to be very androgynous and hrt can get you there
i think being a 'neither' and giving 'neither' vibes is very real.
its just how I cope with not passing now leave me alone.
No one cares about gender, whatever people think that means. Extra pronouns are a pain in the ass and we're used to "they" being a Schroedinger's Cat of someone yet to be clocked, not a permanent identity.
They are infinitely more interested in your ostensible sex, which usually matches your actual sex. Your sex isn't just important for the all-encompassing dating prerogative of Any Forums, but rather a simple cue to tell people what kind of socialization you probably faced growing up--and how to treat you.
People often ask me about what my gender is, and if I'm gendered, there's about a 30/70 split of being gendered male or female. If I'm in an lgbt space, I get generally gendered as a tranny though but that's fine.
Do you get offended when people call you a guy?
Why are you assuming they want to pass? I understand it's what most all people here want, but not everyone out there.
It's possible to pass as neiher because I've had some people couldn't form an opinion on what gender I was based on clothing. Also the only reason I consider myself nb is because I don't care about gender & just dress how I like to (outside of work).
damnit I forgot to add "who" in the phrase *some people couldn't* & now it looks bad.
it really sucks being nb
you could have a rainbow mohawk, a shirt that says "hello kitty vore", and khaki shorts and you'll still be misgendered
i love it when that happens
"hello sir..ma'am..sir? person"
I get gendered as both male and female all the time, works fine for me.
Thats because its a small town boomer
You'll still be subconsciously gendered by people anyway. We're social animals for a reason
Nonbinary is synonymous with woman lite. People will put NBs into a box regardless of tumblr speak
I don't care, how others call me doesn't define who I'm am. I'm fine wearing a mask of gender because it defines a barrier from what I am and what I'm not
People don't have to know that I'm NB
fpbp
Same. I think of it more as "not necessarily binary".
